OOOPS!!

fat oopsLike everyone else, I know better! I know that it is way too easy to slip back into old habits. And I did it – – –

I knew by my clothes and my discomfort level that I had gained weight, probably a lot of it. I had a simple solution – avoid the scale.

This morning I finally decided to face the facts and got on the scale. . .

In my defense, not that it really matters, I have had a very tough year. Half of it was spent taking care of my mother, then her death and the subsequent grief. Over and above that I pushed to finish my BA, lived through house remodeling and cared for a dying friend.

And when the going gets tough —  I eat!!  It’s really not so much about what eat as much as it is about how much. Although continually munching on carbs and nuts is never a good idea!

The inevitable result is I am up ten pounds. Ten pounds I can ill afford. My cranky joints remind me of that constantly! If I don’t get back on track I will soon hit the dreaded obesity mark! Ouch!!

This is my public resolve to eat less quantity, carbs and fats and to load up on fresh veggies and exercise!

I’ll keep you posted on my progress!
