John McDougall on Eating Out

When we got in on Wednesday night, we rushed right down to the local Lebanese restaurant. My choice! Not only do I just generally love the food, but it is a food we don’t get often. So I was very hungry for it! Neither Palm Springs or Prescott has a decent Middle-Eastern restaurant. I should mention that there is a great one in Phoenix that we always enjoy: Eden’s Grill. The problem is that during the summer we have zero motivation (not even the food) to go to Phoenix. Something about 110+ degrees! I have to say, New Orleans in September is not a great improvement – not has hot but the humidity is killer!!!

So, while thinking about where to go and what to eat when we go out this weekend, I remembered a video from Dr. McDougall. A little googling and I got it. In this great little video he recommends ethnic foods – Thai, Chinese, and even Mexican.

Which made me wonder if New Orleans has an Ethiopian restaurant. That is great ethnic food I have not eaten for a while. I am going to have to check it out. I will keep you updated, but in the meantime enjoy this short McDougall video.
